What We Do
Govfest is a volunteer-powered music and arts festival that brings together public sector workers from across Ontario to raise funds for great causes.
Since 2006, Govfest has celebrated the creativity and talent of public servants through live music showcases and visual art events. What began as a grassroots effort has grown into an annual celebration of artistic expression and charitable spirit.
At its heart, Govfest is about giving back. All net proceeds from our events are donated to trusted Canadian charities—United Way and the Ryan’s Well Foundation—turning great nights out into real-world impact.

By the Numbers
Since its inception in 2005, Govfest has:
- Showcased 200+ band and solo artist performances
- Hosted 100+ live events in Toronto and across Ontario
- Involved thousands of musicians, artists, and fans
- Raised $285,000 for United Way and Ryan’s Well
Who’s Behind It
Govfest is proudly 100% volunteer-run by a dedicated team of current and former public servants from all levels of government and public agencies. Together, we plan, promote, and deliver events that reflect the best of our community—and have a blast doing it.
Whether you’re here to play, cheer, volunteer, or donate—welcome to the Govfest community. Let’s make some noise for a good cause.
